I will reply Atiku in my book – Obasanjo
Former
President, Olusegun Obasanjo has refused to respond to the recent
disclosure by his former Deputy, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, saying that he
would respond at the appropriate time, precisely when his book is
published.
Atiku had in a recent interview disclosed how he blasted the former leader over his third term ambition, disclosing further how the former president came to his house to beg for his support. The interview was published in a Hausa newspaper.
However, Obasanjo in a peripheral reaction said he would respond in
his book. The former President’s media aide, Mr. Vitalis Ortese,
speaking on behalf of the president said, “Wait for our book.”
Relatively, Obasanjo’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Victor Durodola, said there was nothing to respond to in Atiku’s revelation, hence the former leader’s silence.
“There is nothing to respond to. What was published was taken out of context, from an interview. He (Atiku) did not come to say it directly, so it is not something we can respond. My principal does not want to respond to it,” he said.
