Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, has denied reports that he is no longer a member of the seven aggrieved governors within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Otherwise called G7 governors, the group also include; Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Abdulfatai Ahmed (Kwara), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), and Rabiu Kwankwanso (Kano). Barely two weeks after 32 leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Borno State, DailyPost has again learnt that over thirty campaign officials of the PDP, under the Mohammed Goni, 2011 Governorship Campaign organisation have dumped the party. The 63 members of the ruling party who defected on separate days and in three groups, said they moved to the APC because of Governor Kashim Shettima’s persuasive style of governance; his good management of the Boko Haram crisis and his landmark achievements since he assumed office.
