Another tragedy averted as IRS airline crash lands in Kaduna

Another air tragedy was averted Sunday evening as a plane belonging to IRS Airline made a forceful landing in Kaduna.

According to report, the aircraft’s tyres malfunctioned during landing, forcing the pilot to crash-land the aircraft.

An airport source said, “The front tyres didn’t come out on time and the pilot had to land the plane without its tyres out.”

Sources also said the plane was conveying some passengers from Lagos to Kaduna.

However, DailyPost learnt that there was no casualty.

2015: Jonathan posters flood Kwara, say he is the best

Few months after controversies trailed the display of President Goodluck Jonathan 2015 campaign posters in some parts of the country, especially on the streets of Abuja, a group, “Foundation for Empowerment and Uniting Nigerian Youth” has flooded the streets of Ilorin, Kwara State capital with the President’s campaign posters, canvassing for his 2015 presidential election. It was observed that the campaign posters were spotted at strategic locations in Ilorin Central Muslim Praying Ground and some other locations in the state capital. Some of the posters were pasted on walls along the New Yidi Road and some other places in the metropolis. The posters bear the picture of Jonathan, the map of Nigeria and a young man.   Nigerian lawmakers have made diverse comments on the merger of the new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) and the All Progressives Alliance (APC), a development expected to generated unexpected debates related to its consequences in the plenaries of the upper and lower chambers. The merger will be a source of worry for lawmakers, as they will have to consider the legal implications if they decide to move with the governors of the states they represent.
