'I'm not gay so my son will never be gay" - Bauchi Governor declares

Bauchi State Governor Isa Yuguda was a guest on BBC Africa radio show yesterday where he talked about the anti-gay law. He supported the bill and declared that he's not gay so non of his sons can be gay.

When asked what he would do if any of his sons confessed to being gay, Governor Yuguda exclaimed 'God Forbid!' then said "What will I do? Well, I may have to resign to my faith that I have a son who is a gay but I'm assuring you I'm not gay so my son will never be a gay. Gay blood doesn't flow in our family. Mass exodus hits PDP as 63 members defect to APC in Borno

Barely two weeks after 32 leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Borno State, DailyPost has again learnt that over thirty campaign officials of the PDP, under the Mohammed Goni, 2011 Governorship Campaign organisation have dumped the party. The 63 members of the ruling party who defected on separate days and in three groups, said they moved to the APC because of Governor Kashim Shettima’s persuasive style of governance; his good management of the Boko Haram crisis and his landmark achievements since he assumed office.   Nigerian lawmakers have made diverse comments on the merger of the new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) and the All Progressives Alliance (APC), a development expected to generated unexpected debates related to its consequences in the plenaries of the upper and lower chambers. The merger will be a source of worry for lawmakers, as they will have to consider the legal implications if they decide to move with the governors of the states they represent. The law may not have implications on the governor but on a lawmaker, the individual stands a possibility of losing his seat.
