BREAKING: PDP suspends Andy Uba, four others
The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended
Andy Uba, Chairman, Senate Committee on the Independent National
Electoral Commission, INEC.
He was suspended alongside his brother, Chris Uba, Factional Chairman of Anambra chapter of the PDP, Ejike Oguebego, Benji Udeozor, and Tonia Nwankwu.
Party spokesman, Tony Okeke, said the decision was taken after the
members on Wednesday, failed to honour an invitation by the National
Working Committee of the party to come and explain why they held a
parallel primary during the last Anambra PDP primary election.
The affected members did not only stay away, but also refused to send an apology for their inability to attend the meeting.
Sources say the Senator was in fact sighted in Asokoro, Central Area of the FCT.
