Anyone opposed to Jonathan’s government will perish – Arthur Eze

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State, Arthur Eze, has warned those against Jonathan’s political career to desist or face the wrath of God.

Eze made this declaration while addressing newsmen shortly after he paid a courtesy visit to President Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.

He said anyone who is against president Jonathan is against God, and anyone fighting God would be perished.

He said, “Jonathan is our brother, God gave him power and anybody fighting him is fighting God, the person will perish and I don’t want to perish. He was in his village and God sent for him and gave him power,” Eze warned.

Speaking further, the billionaire said, the president’s administration is currently transforming the lives of Nigerians. He said Nigerians must support the President because it is the will of God.

“Now, all of us will support him, he is fighting for the new generation. I am an old man, I am dying and that is why you have to support him and change your life. He has started changing the lives of Nigerians, the widows, the orphans, the needy. That is the will of God”.

“I am the founder of APGA (All Progressive Grand Alliance). The new Anambra governor is a young man when you look at him very cool. We shall support him to succeed. So all of us should vote for Jonathan,” he added.

We are not part of Lagos APC – APGA

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Lagos, has dissociated itself from the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC). It also warned members not to romance any other political party, saying such act would attract sanctions. The party in a statement issued and signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Sanjo Olawuyi, on Wednesday, said the Lagos State Chapter of APGA, under the leadership of Edwin Izuchukwu, is not in any alliance with the newly registered APC, stressing that it has total confidence in the leadership of Victor Umeh, National Chairman of the party. APGA further announced that it has suspended three members of the fold with immediate effect for defecting to the APC. ASUU strike update: Don’t send your children to school, we won’t teach them – Lecturers warn parents

The battle between the Federal Government and the members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has attained a new intensity following a 7-day ultimatum issued by the Presidency. Some of the striking lecturers have remained adamant despite the obvious waning in the resolve of their members evidenced by the withdrawing of some universities from the strike. The academic body has taken things even further by warning parents not to allow their wards resume in schools to avoid risking the lives of their children. Vanguard  reports : The Presidency, on its part accused ASUU leaders of treachery and warned the university lecturers not to dare the resolve of government to carry out its threat to sack them if they failed to resume.
