Those who think Nigeria will break up before 2015, will be disappointed – Senator Gibor

Contrary to the United Nations’ prediction that Nigeria will split before 2015, Senator Ibrahim Gobir has declared that the nation remains indivisible.
Gobir, who represents Sokoto East Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, told newsmen on Sunday in Sokoto that such a prediction would not come to pass, asserting that anybody who thinks Nigeria will disintegrate would be disappointed.
According to him, “Nigeria will rather come out stronger and more united in 2015 and beyond. Our diverse religious, ethnic and cultural differences should therefore be the basis of our unity.
“Similarly, the vast population of Nigeria should be used as strength and not a curse,’’ he said.
“We all have equal stakes in Nigeria and none should work against the sustainable growth and development of the country.
He said that Nigerians should also desist from acts capable of stunting the growth of the nation.
Speaking further, the senator said, “peace building and unity should be our major pre-occupation to ensure socio-political and economic development of the country”.
