The Director-General of Budget Office of the Federation, Dr. Bright Okogu, and the Accountant- General of the Federation, Mr. Jonah Otunla, Tuesday told a National Assembly Committee that Nigeria was not broke, but was currently experiencing cash flow problem. Okogwu and Otunla said this when they appeared before the Senate and House of Representatives Joint Committee on Appropriation and Finance during consideration of the 2012-2014 Medium Term Expenditure Framework. The MTEF was forwarded to the National Assembly by President Goodluck Jonathan, preparatory to the 2014 budget presentation in November. The committee is headed by Senator Ahmed Makarfi.
