Rain of Awards for Sabina Umoren as she celebrates nine years on Stage.


AFTER adding two awards to her catalogues of medals, On-Air-Personality, Sabina Umoren, continues to draw attention from fans, colleagues and well-wishers, as she celebrate nine years on stage.
  Popularly known as Naija Pastor and one of the most loved voices on radio, Sabina recently bagged two local and international awards - Best On-Air-Personality at the Crystal Award 2013 (Nigeria), and Radio Programme of The Year at the Africa Gospel Music Awards 2013 Award, (United Kingdom).
  An established gospel artiste, her journey into broadcasting started about two and a half years ago when Megalectrics Limited, operators of Naija FM 102.7, Beat 99.9 FM, and Classic 97.3 FM confirmed her originality and on-air prowess. Little did she know that her competence would keep her on the airwaves two and a half years and still counting.
  On the journey so far on radio, Sabina, “Radio has been good to me, especially working with a man of vision like my Mr. Chris Ubosi has been quite an experience.  The working environment is great and this has enhanced my growth on the profession quicker than expected.”
  An author, motivational speaker and gospel artiste, Sabina, who recently celebrated her birthday with friends and family, co-presents the ‘Morning Runs’ with Ushbebe and Godwin on Sundays.  
 Meanwhile, in celebrating her ninth year on stage, a thanksgiving concert tagged Still Standing is slated to take place on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Yard 158 Oregun. The concert is to celebrate God’s faithfulness to the presenter since she branched into broadcasting, and also to mark her band - Perfect Realm’s ninth year on stage. “I never can understand how my band has coped with my excesses for nine years! I just love them”, says the energetic Naija Pastor.
  Sabina, the Naija Pastor hosts the award-winning ‘Sunday Best’ show every Sunday 6am-12noon, and co-hosts the ‘Morning Runs’ show from Monday to Friday 6am-11am on Naija FM 102.7. She is also President, Perfect Realm Music and leader of the band of Perfect Realm.

We are not part of Lagos APC – APGA

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Lagos, has dissociated itself from the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC). It also warned members not to romance any other political party, saying such act would attract sanctions. The party in a statement issued and signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Sanjo Olawuyi, on Wednesday, said the Lagos State Chapter of APGA, under the leadership of Edwin Izuchukwu, is not in any alliance with the newly registered APC, stressing that it has total confidence in the leadership of Victor Umeh, National Chairman of the party. APGA further announced that it has suspended three members of the fold with immediate effect for defecting to the APC. The affected members are Adeshina Olayokun, Mrs Oby Ezenna and Mrs Funmilayo Onwubiko, who were until their suspension, executive members of the party in Lagos. ASUU strike update: Don’t send your children to school, we won’t teach them – Lecturers warn parents

The battle between the Federal Government and the members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has attained a new intensity following a 7-day ultimatum issued by the Presidency. Some of the striking lecturers have remained adamant despite the obvious waning in the resolve of their members evidenced by the withdrawing of some universities from the strike. The academic body has taken things even further by warning parents not to allow their wards resume in schools to avoid risking the lives of their children. Vanguard  reports : The Presidency, on its part accused ASUU leaders of treachery and warned the university lecturers not to dare the resolve of government to carry out its threat to sack them if they failed to resume.
