Tukur, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),
stated that everyone associated with the new PDP faction would say
goodbye to their seats.
He declared this while addressing a press conference in Abuja.
“Anyone who also identifies themselves with the impostors will be made
to lose their seats as required by law,” the party chairman said.
Tukur added that the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) he presides over is the only recognized executive body.
It will reminded, that on Saturday, August 31, a new faction, chaired
by Abubakar Kawu Baraje and consisting of seven of the party’s 23
governors, has announced that it has taken over the party. The splinter
group has also asked a Lagos High Court to sack the Bamanga Tukur-led
executive of the ruling party.
